Generate Your Banner & Icon with AI

How to prompt an AI image tool for a logo and banner, revise one detail at a time, upload, and check it on a phone.

You don't need a designer for this, and you definitely don't need to spend a weekend learning one. An image model will make your logo in about ten minutes, and the result will be better than what most channels in your niche are running.

Open whichever AI image tool you've got. Grok works fine for this. Then describe two things: the style you want, and your channel name. That's the starting prompt. Something like a flat vector logo, in a specific colour, for a channel called whatever your channel is called. Keep it plain. You're not writing poetry at the model, you're giving it a brief.

Then look at what comes back, and here's where most people go wrong. They hate the first result, throw the whole prompt away, and start from scratch with a completely different idea. Don't do that. You'll spin for an hour and end up further from anything usable.

Work the other way. Add detail, one piece at a time. The shape is close but the colour's off, so you say that and only that. Now the colour's right but it's too busy, so you ask for it simpler. Each pass you're changing one variable and keeping everything that already worked. Four or five rounds of that and you'll land on something you actually want to use, because you steered it there instead of rolling the dice repeatedly.

Same process for the banner. Same colours, same style, so the two obviously come from the same place.

When you've got both, upload them and then do the part everybody skips.

Look at your channel on a real phone. Not the mobile preview on your laptop. Your actual phone, held in your actual hand, the way a viewer will see it. Then look at it on desktop too. This is where you find out that your channel name is sitting in the part of the banner that gets cropped off, or that your icon turns into an unreadable smudge at small sizes. On a big monitor it all looked fine. On a phone it falls apart.

Fix whatever the phone tells you is broken. Then you're done with branding, probably for a year.

Ten minutes of prompting. One look at a phone. Move on.

Earnings mentioned in this course are examples, not typical or promised results. What a channel earns depends on its niche, audience and the work put in.
